Membership within the Association is voluntary and any Crown Prosecutor who is below the level of Director is eligible to be a member of the ACAA.
Memberships are for a calendar year. Membership dues are to be paid at the beginning of each year. Effective January 1, 2013, the ACAA Executive has introduced an annual dues structure which is tied to the job classification of each member. Because membership is voluntary, dues are to be paid by the member directly; unfortunately, there is no option to have them deducted from a pay cheque. You cannot attend an Annual General Meeting or vote as a member if your dues are not up-to-date.
Dues may be paid by Paypal (details below) or through a cheque payable to the “Alberta Crown Attorneys’ Association”, which may given to any member of the ACAA executive. Cash payments are not accepted for audit and risk management reasons.
